Better Than Reportingly

After waking from a coma and learning how to be a normal person again, our hero tries to find his path through life. Really, I'm not making this up. :) Well, except for the hero part. :)

Name: Steve

I'm just this guy, y'know?

Alone (At Last)

I am home alone in the house tonight. La is in Las Vegas with her friend. This is the first night I have been alone since May 1... strange. I still remember some of my nights in the hospital because I had a night watcher I used to talk to for hours. I had the watcher because I was a trouble patient and they were afraid I'd hurt myself. :)

Today I saw Kate at the hospital for the first time in about a month. She's the therapist I thought was my granddaughter and had a whole concocted science-fiction delusion about being involved in a revolution. Ah... good times. :)

Is this it?

So, I am in rehabilitation from my accident. I am supposed to be getting better with the idea that going back to work is the goal. I am very near the goal, but I am spending a lot of time wondering if it is worthwhile. Of course, I need to make a living, and La and I will probably have a baby on the way real soon... so not working is not an option. Corporate life is insane and my tolerance for insanity is not as high as it was before.

Reasons To Live

Today I realized, that since I have been out of the hospital, there have only been two days where I was honestly happy to be alive, the day I was discharged, and my birthday party. I hope this improves in the future. It was a rather depressing realization.

Physical Therapy Parole

Today was my last day of physical therapy for my neck. I can now turn my head a whopping 65 degrees each way. Jen says if I need it I can see her again for therapy later in the year. I'm hoping to be able to swim freestyle again one of these days. I broke my neck on May 1 in a motorcycle accident. I promise I'll provide a full account of it one of these days. :)

I Am Not An Exhibitionist

Really, I'm not... so I will have to search long and hard to find the line between things that should be posted and things that are too personal. Heh. As if anyone will actually be reading it anyway.
